Morning take: It's game day!
By James Walker
Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Friday from around the web:
- Greg Cote of the Miami Herald writes it is time to learn something about the Dolphins in Friday’s preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
Morning take: The first preseason game brings excitement. However, the starters only play a few series. We will learn more about the backups.
- Dave Hyde of the Sun Sentinel writes there are plenty of questions that must be answered this preseason for the Dolphins.
Morning take: The biggest question is whether Bill Lazor's up-tempo offense will work in Miami with its current personnel. We will get some clues against Atlanta.
- Alain Poupart of the Dolphins team site writes tight end Dion Sims is among the most improved players.
Morning take: Sims is showing more receiving ability this year. The Dolphins use multiple tight-end sets, which means Sims is expected to make the 53-man roster.
- Greg Stoda of the Palm Beach Post writes rookie linebacker Jordie Tripp may remind you of former Dolphins great Zach Thomas.
Morning take: That's high praise, but it is way too early to draw those comparisons. Tripp must earn a spot on the 53-man roster, most likely through special teams.
