Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Friday from around the Web:
Adam Beasley and Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald report free-agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan will visit the Dolphins Friday.
Morning take: Miami still has a hole at cornerback opposite Pro Bowler Brent Grimes. Finnegan could provide a veteran presence if he comes with an affordable price tag.
Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports the Dolphins will host offensive lineman Shelley Smith.
Morning take: Miami is far from done fixing the offensive line. Branden Albert solidified the left tackle spot. But they still need guards and a right tackle.
The Dolphins team site provides an updated scorecard of free-agent signings.
Morning take: It’s been a solid start so far. Miami filled holes at left tackle, safety and defensive tackle in the first few days.
Greg Stoda of the Palm Beach Post writes it’s so far, so good for new Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey.
Morning take: Hickey filled needs early and in most cases he’s not overpaying. He also traded Jonathan Martin and got compensation, which was a good move.
