EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, who was already named to the Associated Press All-Pro team earlier this month, got another honor on Monday afternoon.

The Pro Football Writers Association named Patterson to its All-NFL and All-NFC teams on Monday, recognizing the rookie for posting the second-highest kick return average since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger and becoming the only player to return two kickoffs for touchdowns this season. Patterson was the only Vikings player named to either team; Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte beat out Adrian Peterson for the running back spots on the PFWA's All-NFC team.

Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil's brother Ryan , the center for the Carolina Panthers, was named to the All-NFL and All-NFC teams.
