The Minnesota Vikings will kick off their 2014 preseason the second weekend of August at TCF Bank Stadium, and after their second preseason game, they won't see their temporary home again until the start of the regular season.

The Vikings will play their first two preseason games at home, against the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals, but will finish the slate with trips to Kansas City and Tennessee. The dates and times of the games will be announced later.

As they share a stadium with the University of Minnesota, the Vikings could see a similar arrangement during the 2015 preseason. The Gophers open their 2014 season on Aug. 28 at home against Southern Illinois, so the Vikings' late road trips could be designed to reduce scheduling conflicts and clutter at the stadium.

Here is the Vikings' full preseason schedule:

Week 1 Aug. 7-9): vs. Oakland Raiders

Week 2 (Aug. 14-16): vs. Arizona Cardinals

Week 3 (Aug. 21-23): at Kansas City Chiefs

Week 4 (Aug. 28-29): at Tennessee Titans
