Bieber, Bubba phone it up like schoolgirls

World Puberty Champion Justin Bieber has a lot of friends in high places. He’s crooned for Sasha and Malia, he’s collaborated with Kanye and Drake and I think he’s even given the Pope skateboarding lessons. Or was it Nelson Mandela?

Either way, the kid’s got some A-list contacts in his iPhone. So it should come as no surprise that following fellow pop singer (of the Golf Boys) Bubba Watson’s win at the Masters, Biebs was the only person he spoke with on the phone.

"He called me and I talked to him on the phone and he and Selena [Gomez] were congratulating me, and it was a big honor that they would both call me and talk to me," Watson said in a recent interview with E! News.

While it’s still up to the jury whether this helps or hurts Bubba’s street cred, it’s refreshing to be living in a time when hotshot grown-ups show respect to hotshot youngsters. Imagine Bieber and Johnny Unitas trying to get along: “Time for a haircut, young man.”
