Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should.

The following list proves this very point. Sure, most athletes have the money to finance the recording and production of an album -- but that definitely doesn’t make it a good idea.

While there are (sadly) hundreds of options for the worst-ever songs performed by athletes, we were somehow able to whittle down the list to five records -- records that we hope are one day broken, literally.

Here, then, are the worst of the worst.

When we first heard TMZ reporting that Serena Williams had recorded a song (reportedly in the studio of Baltimore Ravens tackle Bryant McKinnie), we thought, "Serena, is you really rappin'?"

And sure enough, she addresses that same question in the song, where she also name-drops her sister: "I win, I really mean it. Swag out this world, you should call me Venus."

For her part, Serena doesn't seem too excited about the leak, tweeting at McKinnie, "Dear @BryantMckinnie I hate you. Lol."
