The Los Angeles Lakers, like all NBA teams, will field a Summer League team in July. Head coach Byron Scott would prefer to have Anthony Brown, D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr. and Julius Randle on the team for the second year in a row.

“I would think they would want to play just for the fact we won only one game (in 2015),” Scott told the Los Angeles Daily News. “You’d want to come in and say we’re a much better now than we were then."

Out of the five, Clarkson and Randle will probably skip summer ball. Clarkson would appear to be a lock to sit out the Las Vegas event as he is a restricted free agent come July 1 and may spend the first half of the month negotiating his new deal.
