@PaulBiancardi who would you compare Jahlil Okafor to?

There are not many like Jahlil Okafor (Chicago/Whitney Young). Every post player wants to face the basket and score, and that's fine, but if you are blessed with enormous size, sure hands and nifty footwork, then embrace the low post, master it and then move out to the high post.
What has been most impressive is how the Duke-bound Okafor transformed his body by changing his eating habits, and he has been working extra hard on his conditioning. In some ways, he reminds me of former Ohio State standout Jared Sullinger and former Duke great Elton Brand.
He has the opportunity to be a better low-post scorer than both, as he is bigger (6-foot-10, 265 pounds) and owns all the physical tools, hands and footwork, along with a soft touch inside. Right now he needs to rebound more like Sullinger and Brand -- they owned the defensive glass and worked the offensive boards hard.
He is not far away from being an elbow catch-and-shoot jumper like Brand, and Sullinger can step out even farther.
Sullinger is playing very well of late for the Celtics, and Brand was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft. Not bad company for Okafor, who has a teachable spirit to learn the game and improve.
