Some interesting numbers from ESPN Stats & Analysis.
Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is a different quarterback over his last three starts compared to his first three (he missed one game due to injury). Consider these third-down numbers.
Also, both Masoli and USC quarterback Matt Barkley rely heavily on their tight ends. Here are some numbers for Masoli and tight end Ed Dickson, Masoli's favorite passing target in Pac-10 games.
Meanwhile, USC tight end Anthony McCoy is Matt Barkley's most explosive target (though receiver Damian Williams is hardly chopped liver).
The critical issue here is McCoy hasn't practiced this week because of a sprained ankle. He may try to go at Oregon, but it's doubtful he'll be at full speed. That would be an boon to the Ducks defense.
