Doesn’t look like there’s going to be much movement in the bowl scenarios this week, though Conference USA had a couple interesting twists and turns. I’m still wishfully thinking that Boise State gets into a BCS bowl and with the USC loss, it definitely looks better this week than it did last week.
I like TCU in the Fiesta because I think that could be a possible Big 12 matchup and I don't think they'd rematch TCU and Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
If Boise State doesn’t earn a spot a BCS bowl, my first guess would be a spot in the Poinsettia to play BYU, but that also depends on the matchup in the Humanitarian. The Humanitarian Bowl is interesting. IF Boise State is not available, I think the bowl would keep Idaho to give the Vandals an in-state game and sell tickets, but there might be a favorable matchup for Nevada that might make more sense.
Here’s a look at my bowl projections as we head into Week 12 of the 2009 season. I’ll be doing this every Sunday for the rest of the season.
