The Mid-American Conference and Ford Field in Detroit are doing their best to give back.
That’s why on Monday, the two groups announced that members of the military, union workers and the unemployed can go watch the MAC Championship football game on Dec. 4 for free.
The MAC and Ford Field will pass out two free tickets per person to anyone with a valid military ID, UAW badge or Michigan Unemployment debit card along with government-issued ID. There are 10,000 tickets available, so it’s first-come, first-served.
Currently, Central Michigan is leading the West Division and Temple is leading the East, though both races will be determined during the final week of the regular season next week.

“With this initiative, we have an opportunity to invite members of our community who have: served us honorably in the Military, worked so hard in our factories or unfortunately lost their jobs in these trying times, to join us at Ford Field and enjoy a fantastic college football game in person,” Tom Lewand, President of the Detroit Lions & Ford Field said in a statement.
