Ryan Broyles and a determined Oklahoma defense made sure that Oklahoma State's postseason hopes won't include the BCS.
Broyles accounted for 311 all-purpose yards to spark the Sooners' 27-0 victory over the Cowboys.
His 204 yards in punt returns, including an 87-yard return for a touchdown, accounted for most of them.
The Sooners overcame a sloppy start as the defense provided the knockout punch. And they did it with a patchwork offensive line that was missing four starters after Trent Williams was idled with a concussion in practice this week.
Oklahoma's defense limited OSU to 109 yards of total offense and forced the Cowboys to fail on all 14 of their third-down plays.
It means that the Cowboys likely are headed to the Cotton Bowl as the Big 12's No. 2 team.
And 7-5 Oklahoma will be charging into the bowls with a little momentum. They likely are headed to either the Sun Bowl or the Insight Bowl.
It stretched Oklahoma's home winning streak to 30 games and enabled them to maintain their edge in Bedlam again.
