The Annapolis Capital is reporting that starting center Eric Douglass and reserve cornerback John Angelo have been ruled ineligible and will not participate in the Texas Bowl.

Sophomore Brady DeMell will start in place of Douglass, who made the trip because the team did not learn he was ineligible until after the team travelled to Houston.

Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo told the paper that Douglass fell a class short of eligibility and that he expects him to regain his eligibility in time for spring football.
