Central Michigan and Northwestern will meet in 2010.

Northwestern announced Tuesday it will play the Chippewas on Sept. 25 at Ryan Field on the Northwestern Campus.

The two teams have never met.

Central Michigan is 11-2 this season, with a win over Michigan State, and will play Troy in the GMAC Bowl on Wednesday. The Chippewas are currently without a full-time head coach after Butch Jones resigned to take the head coaching position at Cincinnati. Former defensive coordinator Steve Stripling has been the interim coach.

Northwestern finished 8-5 overall this season and lost to Auburn 38-35 in the Outback Bowl.
