Idaho loses QB coach

January, 8, 2010
Idaho quarterbacks coach Jonathan Smith is leaving the Vandals to become the offensive coordinator at Montana under newly named head coach Robin Pflugrad.

Smith is credited with the development of junior quarterback Nathan Enderle, who finished fifth in the Football Bowl Subdivision in passing efficiency this season. Enderle completed 192-of-312 passes for 2,906 yards and 22 touchdowns in 11 games.

Smith is the first coach to leave Idaho, which finished the season 8-5 and went to its first bowl games since 1998.
