Charlie Strong's first class at Louisville was very nearly a blockbuster group.
But the Cardinals missed out on a pair of highly-touted Miami Northwestern High School teammates when offensive lineman Torrian Wilson became a late defector (to UCF) and defensive tackle Todd Chandler couldn't be lured away from South Florida.
Still, it's an impressive haul for a first-year head coach and represents a major talent upgrade from the previous classes under Steve Kragthorpe. The class includes seven players from Florida, an area that had been neglected by Kragthorpe.
