You, too, can be an FBS football coach.
Temple University, which lost a couple of assistant football coaches earlier this month, has posted an opening for an assistant coach position on the job Web site CareerBuilder.com.
Here is the job description:
This is not a hoax. I talked to a member of Temple’s media relations staff who said that the school did in fact post the ad. It’s standard practice for a university to publicly post all jobs, but those posts usually appear on the school Web site or in trade magazines. Rarely does a school reach out to the general public like Temple has done.
Now, the likelihood of Joe Fan actually scoring this job is slim to none, but I appreciate Temple’s everyman approach to its coaching staff.
Who knows? The school might land itself a coaching diamond in the rough.
