Wide receiver A.J. Dugat and offensive lineman Ari Tatum, both sophomores, have been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules, coach Kevin Sumlin announced Wednesday evening.

Sumlin did not elaborate on the reason for the dismissal.

Dugat, a former Parade All-American from Dayton, Texas, caught 14 passes for 170 yards, and had one rush for 15 yards. He also spent time as a punt and kick returner.

Tatum, who is from Dacula, Ga., redshirted in 2008 and played in spot time as a redshirt freshman this past season.
