HOOVER, Ala. -- Repeating what he told Georgia coaches earlier this week, Georgia receiver A.J. Green said Thursday at the SEC media days that he’s never been to Miami.

“We can’t make any comments about it, but I’ve never even been to Miami,” said Green, the Bulldogs’ All-America receiver.

Green said he wanted to say a lot more about some of the allegations out there about players attending an agent-funded party in Miami, but had been instructed by Georgia officials not to discuss it.

The NCAA has notified Georgia that it plans to make an inquiry regarding improper dealings between agents and Georgia football players.

Green, only a junior, said he was extremely careful about who he lets into his “circle” and said he would wait until the end of the season and consult with his family before even starting the process for selecting an agent.

That's assuming he turns pro early, which he almost certainly will. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper has Green as the No. 4 overall prospect on his 2011 Big Board.

“I have my circle, and I know who to trust and who not to trust,” Green said. “I’m at the point of my life right now that I don’t need to make any new friends. I’ve got to keep that same circle I’ve had since Day 1 and not let anybody in that.”
