Welcome back to the weekly Notre Dame game predictions. The 2010 opener against Purdue will be remembered for Brian Kelly's debut no matter what happens. So what will happen?
Notre Dame 38, Purdue 33: We know both teams can score, but can either one stop the other? I say not very often. The Irish defense, and especially the secondary, will be tested by Robert Marve, Keith Smith and Co. But the Purdue defensive backs may be even worse and will have no answers for Dayne Crist, Michael Floyd and Kyle Rudolph. Kelly is a great game-planner, and we saw last year at Rutgers what he can do with an entire summer to prepare.
The Irish make one more big play and come up with one more big stop than the Boilermakers, and they make it a successful debut for Kelly.
