Non-BCS links: Mountain West proposes BCS reform

•The Mountain West released its proposal for BCS reform Wednesday. Essentially, the proposal recommends an eight-team playoff.

•Notre Dame 2010 commit Chris Martin is thinking of transferring schools. Martin, a 6-foot-4, 224-pound linebacker from Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Calif.), is thinking of transferring to The Hun School in Princeton, N.J., for his senior year.

•New Wyoming coach Dave Christensen is already off to a good start and he hasn't even coached a game yet.

•Florida International is hoping to use last year's 5-7 finish as a steppingstone heading into the beginning of spring practice.

•Akron opened practice with a couple of former head coaches with seasoned backgrounds.
