What's on the way up? And on the way down? We've got you covered.
RISING
Missouri's running game: A big week last week for the Tigers has them ranked seventh nationally, and leading the Big 12 with 772 yards in three games. Missouri is also 10th nationally with more than six yards per carry, just below Baylor's 6.3 yards per carry. They're the only two schools in the Big 12 averaging more than five yards per carry. This, for Missouri, despite playing without two starters on the offensive line and losing three of four running backs since preseason camp began.
FALLING
The "No Interceptions" Pool: The Big 12 has the nation's leader in interceptions thrown, Brandon Weeden with six. But it also has three of the 15 starting quarterbacks left without an interception. Texas Tech's Seth Doege has eight touchdowns on 77 pass attempts. Baylor's Robert Griffin III has eight touchdowns on 49 attempts. Kansas' Jordan Webb has six touchdowns on 59 attempts. Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill was in this group last week, but threw his first pick against Idaho.
RISING
Texas A&M's front seven: Texas A&M leads the nation with 5.5 sacks per game, nearly one full sack per game more than any other team in the Big 12. Expect that to change this weekend against Oklahoma State's offense, built around a quick-release passing game. But the Aggies have 11 sacks in two games to rank sixth nationally in total sacks. They're one of just two teams in the top 28 nationally in sacks that have only played two games.
FALLING
Not Ryan Tannehill: The Aggies are also one of just five teams nationally that hasn't given up a sack yet. Boise State, UAB, Maryland and Middle Tennessee are the only teams of 120 left in the exclusive club after three weeks.
