A source told SoonerNation that Oklahoma made those intentions clear in a meeting two Sundays ago with Texas officials in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma was nervous about going to a conference without Texas, who had no desire to change the current set up of the Longhorn Network in the new Pac-12, which has six regional networks and a national network that are scheduled to launch next year.

A source told SoonerNation that Oklahoma made those intentions clear in a meeting two Sundays ago with Texas officials in Oklahoma City.
But contrary to another report suggesting OU simply feigned interest in the Pac-12 from the beginning to gain leverage on Texas, a high-level OU athletic department source explained that the Sooners had acted in good faith and had been planning to apply for Pac-12 membership.
"The plan was to go," the source told SoonerNation.
