• Adam Nettina of ArmySports.com has a two-part Q&A with new Army head coach Rich Ellerson. It's some good stuff. You can find Part I here and Part II here.

• Yet another story in a Nebraska paper about Louisiana. There's definitely a fixation on the Ragin' Cajuns.

• Teddy Feinberg of the Las Cruces Sun-News writes that local kids won't sign with New Mexico State because of things that have happened in the past.

• East Carolina continues to enjoy playing tough nonconference opponents.

• The Kansas City Star has an interesting anecdote about how former Western Michigan tight end Branden Ledbetter was chosen in the new United Football League's draft.

• BYU fans are not shy about shelling out the cash to see the Cougars take on Oklahoma in September.

• New BYU commit Jake Heaps has been out on the recruiting trail helping to bring more high-level players to BYU. The one interesting part of the story is that Kyle Van Noy, who's admission was deferred because of a DUI, has apparently moved in with Heaps and is helping with the recruiting process.
