Business as usual for Oklahoma in win

Missouri played well, and looked like a top-25 team doing it. But Oklahoma is Oklahoma for a reason. The Sooners rebounded from a rough start and beat the Tigers, 38-28.
Missouri's 14-3 spurt early made it interesting, but Oklahoma is too good. Are they the best team in the Big 12? It looks like it through four weeks. Are they a national title contender? LSU and Alabama might say no.
What's not debatable is the Sooners are 3-0 after racking up a 38th consecutive home win over the Tigers and still on track for a national title game appearance.
Very characteristic performances from all the usual suspects.
Landry Jones completed 35 of 48 passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Ryan Broyles caught 13 passes for 154 yards and three scores.
Walk-on Dominique Whaley and Brennan Clay combined for 111 yards on 31 carries. Not the yards per carry you'd like, but good enough for a win.
Oklahoma? On to the next one.
Ball State comes to Owen Field next week, and Missouri falls to 2-2 with the loss. James Franklin notched a career-high 95 yards and two touchdowns.
The Tigers are off next week before traveling to Kansas State on Oct. 8.
