To paraphrase, Los Lobos, "Will the Wulff Survive?"
On Saturday after losing to Washington in the Apple Cup, the answer seemed to be no. On Monday, well, it seemed to progress to a "maybe."
Washington State athletic director Bill Moos will provide a definitive and official answer at a 5 p.m. ET news conference.
At a weekly Cougars boosters luncheon in Spokane on Monday, Wulff didn't sound like he was going quietly into the night.
He said, "I'm confident we have come a long, long ways, and no coach or staff would have done better with the situation."
He said, "The people that know football know I should keep the job. The people that don't, don't get it, and that's why they shouldn't have a say in it."
Now, one can infer that Wulff would consider Moos, also a former Cougar player, a person who knows football. So the balls in your court, Mr. Moos.
