Wisconsin has announced the signings of 12 players to go along with seven preferred walk-ons. The Badgers always had planned to sign a smaller class but missed out on several top targets, including offensive lineman Kyle Dodson, a one-time verbal commit who signed with Ohio State.

Here are Wisconsin's signees:

Vince Biegel, LB
Hugs Etienne, CB
Arthur Goldberg, DT
Bart Houston, QB
Vonte Jackson, RB
Jake Meador, OL
Reggie Mitchell, CB
Leo Musso, Athlete
D.J. Singleton, S
Dan Voltz, OL
Walker Williams, OL

Etienne, Jackson and Voltz enrolled early.

Houston is the big name of the bunch, a decorated recruit at a position where Wisconsin needs help in 2012 following the departure of Russell Wilson. Voltz is a nice pickup along the offensive line, and both Biegel and Singleton received four stars from ESPN Recruiting. The class features players from eight different states: three from Wisconsin, two from both Florida and Pennsylvania and one each from California, Indiana, New Jersey, Illinois and Washington.
