Florida State didn't put out an actual release, but it did officially confirm this year's 2012 class. You've heard analysts, fans and reporters gush over this class all day, and with good reason. There's no question it's tops in the ACC, and you could make a case it's the best in the country.
"I love our class," coach Jimbo Fisher said at his news conference earlier today. "I think we got a lot of guys we wanted who met our needs. That’s the big thing, getting quality people, athletes and students. We met our needs at certain positions, and I think it will create some very good competition for our team. We’ve got some young athletes who will hopefully compete for starting jobs -- that’s something you always want as a coach, to build that depth and competition on the football field and make yourself a better football team."
The defensive talent and the speed are the two things that stand out about this particular class. Of course the question is, if and when it will translate into more than a recruiting ranking.
