Don’t look for a decision any time soon on Florida’s starting quarterback.
What Muschamp is sure of coming out of the spring is that the Gators can win with both quarterbacks.
“We’ll let them battle through the fall and make a decision when the time is right,” Muschamp said.
The deciding factor, or factors, will revolve around which guy does the best job of managing the offense.
“That’s not saying we’re going to be conservative,” Muschamp said. “Both guys can create plays off rhythm with their legs. Both are very accurate throwers. Both are very talented, and we can win with both of them. In managing our offense, we’re talking about converting third downs, making vertical plays down the field, getting us in the right spots and not turning the ball over.
“It’s very close as far as those factors we’re looking at.”
The best thing both quarterbacks have going for them is that Muschamp thinks the Gators will be much improved on the offensive line in 2012.
And, overall, Muschamp said it should be a much more physical Florida football team next season.
“We’re a much more physical team than we were at any point last season,” Muschamp said.
