Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o were named Walter Camp National Players of the Week on Sunday.
Here's a funny thing: Everybody thought Te'o was going to USC before he pulled a signing-day surprise. Think he might have helped the Trojans corral Taylor on Saturday?
Taylor rushed 27 times for 153 yards and a TD and caught five passes for 60 yards and a score in No. 21 Stanford's upset win over No. 2 USC.
Te'o had 12 tackles in the Fighting Irish's win at Michigan State.
And Te'o will get a shot at Taylor -- and vice versa -- on Oct. 13 when the Cardinal visits Notre Dame.
