Here are your top five performers for Week 7:
North Carolina RB Giovani Bernard: He had 27 carries for 177 yards and two touchdowns in North Carolina's 18-14 win over Miami. He scored two first half touchdowns and accounted for 45 of the 61 yards on the first scoring drive (33 rushing, 12 receiving). He later scored on a 17-yard run in the second quarter. It was Bernard's second consecutive game with more than 100 yards rushing.
Virginia Tech: The entire team gets a helmet sticker for the biggest comeback ever under coach Frank Beamer, a 41-20 victory over Duke. It's impossible to single out the offense, which scored 41 unanswered points, and you can't forget the defense, which shutout Duke for the final three quarters. Both sides of the ball have been criticized heavily in the first half of the season, but the Hokies finally put it all together and played a complete game (or at least three quarters) to remain in the hunt for the Coastal Division title.
Virginia Tech RB J.C. Coleman: The true freshman rushed for a career-high 183 yards and two scores on 13 carries with a long of 86 yards. It was the most rushing yards in a game by a true freshman under coach Frank Beamer and tied for the ninth-most in a game by any player under Beamer.
Maryland receiver Stefon Diggs: The true freshman set the tone when he took the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in Maryland's 27-20 victory over Virginia. It was just the fourth 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in school history and the first since Josh Wilson had one in 2006. Diggs came into Saturday’s game leading the ACC with 21.4 yards per catch and exceeded that against the Cavs with 89 yards on four catches (22.25 ypc). On the day, Diggs had a season-high 239 all-purpose yards (147 kick return, 89 receiving, 3 rushing).
FSU quarterback EJ Manuel: He threw for a career-high 439 yards and four touchdowns completed 27 of 34 passes before leaving early in the fourth quarter with a 48-7 lead. They won the game 51-7. He threw to nine different receivers in the game and helped FSU bounce back from last week's loss to NC State.
