Swinney up for Maxwell Coach of the Year

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was selected Monday as one of 16 semifinalists for National Coach of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club of Pennsylvania.

Swinney, the only ACC coach on the list, has led Clemson to a 10-2 record this year, and a No. 14 ranking in the latest BCS poll. Clemson also won at least a share of the Atlantic Division for the third time in the last four years.

Swinney was named the winner of the Bobby Dodd National Coach of the Year Award last year.
