It looks like Corp for USC, Craft for UCLA

In dual plot twists for the on-going L.A. quarterback soap operas, it appears it will be Aaron Corp in Seattle for USC and Kevin Craft in Pasadena for UCLA.

While neither USC nor UCLA made an official announcement, various media reports say that Corp will step in for an injured Matt Barkley at Washington, while Craft will do the same for Kevin Prince against Kansas State.

Barkley is nursing a bruised shoulder he suffered in the Trojans' win at Ohio State and he didn't throw at practices this week.

Prince is out three to four weeks after breaking his jaw late in UCLA's win at Tennessee.

Corp was the Trojans' No. 1 quarterback coming out of spring practices, but when he cracked his fibula on Aug. 10, Barkley took over and never relinquished the job.

This will be Corp's opportunity to make a statement that he should be the starter, though coach Pete Carroll is clearly infatuated with Barkley's long-term prospects.

Craft, a senior who was the Bruins' starter last year, has seen most of the action with the No. 1 offense this week, and his experience gives him an edge over freshman Richard Brehaut, who was No. 2 on the depth chart the first two weeks of the season and still might play against the Wildcats.

Craft will be trying to rewrite his Bruins legacy. He threw a school-record 20 interceptions last year.
