Florida State announced Tuesday that four-star linebacker Freddie Stevenson has enrolled in school for the spring semester.
Stevenson, a member of the ESPN 300, played outside linebacker at Bartow High in Florida. He should be able to fit into the mix during spring practice, considering the Noles are losing starters Nick Moody and Vince Williams, and Christian Jones has not yet made a decision on whether he will return for his senior season.
If Jones returns, he and Telvin Smith would be the most experienced players on the roster. So there is no question that depth has to be bolstered at the position -- a huge reason why Stevenson has decided to enroll in school early. In 2012, Stevenson made 133 tackles and had seven sacks and was a first-team selection on the Class 6A All-State team.
In an interview with ESPN Nole Nation last month, Stevenson said, "I am more excited than anything. I am not really that nervous. I am ready so there isn't any real reason to be nervous."
