Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher has agreed to a new five-year, $21 million deal with Florida State, a source told ESPN's Joe Schad. The Noles, playing in Saturday night's Dr Pepper ACC championship game against Duke, are one win away from likely earning a spot in the national championship game for the first time since the 2000 season. Fisher is 43-10 in his four years since replacing Bobby Bowden.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Fisher will be one of the 10 highest-paid coaches in the country and make $4.1 million per year. This should help end a lot of speculation about Fisher's immediate future at Florida State, but in this business, there are few guarantees.
