COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The future plans for Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will soon be known.
Manziel is expected to make public his decision on his football-playing future Wednesday, two sources with knowledge of Manziel's thinking told ESPN.com on Tuesday.
It's widely expected that Manziel will announce that he's foregoing his final two years of NCAA eligibility and declaring for early entry into the 2014 NFL draft. Jason Cook, Texas A&M's senior associate athletic director for external affairs, told ESPN.com on Tuesday that there is no timetable for an announcement of his decision.
The deadline for underclassmen to declare is Jan. 15.
On Monday while in Pasadena, Calif., for the VIZIO BCS National Championship game, Manziel told ESPN's Brett McMurphy that he was still undecided and wanted to visit with his family before making a decision.
