The WAC issued a public reprimand for Idaho linebacker Tre'Shawn Robinson who was ejected from last week’s game against San Jose State after throwing a punch following a San Jose State touchdown in the first half.

“That one obviously irritated me a little bit,” coach Robb Akey said in the Lewiston Tribune. “… I love the kid, and again I think that was out of character for him. But you gotta respond the right way.”

Akey said he had been talking with WAC commissioner Karl Benson since the incident and thought Robinson might be suspended for half of Saturday’s game against Hawaii.

But Benson decided a reprimand was best.

"Robinson's actions clearly violated the WAC sportsmanship code and won't be tolerated,” Benson said in a statement. “Any further actions of this type may result in a one game suspension."
