Lee-McNeill connection boosts Nebraska into lead

By Tim Griffin

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska's hopes for a touchdown ended on its first drive when Zac Lee overthrew a wide-open Mike McNeill in the end zone.

On his second opportunity at a similar pass, Lee was accurate.

His 17-yard TD pass to McNeill has boosted the Cornhuskers to a 10-3 lead early in the first half.

Shawn Watson's offense is working masterfully. Lee has already thrown to five different receivers.

That versatility already looks like it is having an effect against a KSU pass defense that ranks 90th in pass defense and 75th in pass efficiency defense.

It's not a good situation for KSU's defense.
