NORMAN, Okla. -- OK, so we've got a three-way tie for the Big 12 South lead.
It would be hard to question Oklahoma's legitimacy for a shot in the BCS after the Sooners' 65-21 victory over Texas Tech. But their hopes of advancing to the Big 12's title game will depend on having the highest BCS standing out of the South Division contenders.
The Sooners turned in a dominant, decisive performance to end the Red Raiders' nation-best 12-game winning streak, blowing the game open with 35 points in the second quarter and cruising from there. Oklahoma erupted for touchdowns on six of its first seven possessions of the game and cruised from there in its best performance of the season.
It will be interesting to hear what Texas Tech players have to say about the freight train that blitzed through them them tonight.
