Robinson's third INT stems UM momentum

By Adam Rittenberg

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- After Michigan's defense forced a three-and-out, you had a feeling Denard Robinson would finally make a huge play.

He did. But it wasn't what the Wolverines wanted.

Robinson threw his third interception, a deep pass into coverage that Chris L. Rucker snagged in front of a Michigan receiver. Rucker's interception might have ended any chance of a Michigan comeback. It certainly sapped the life out of Michigan Stadium.

Michigan State is showing today how to beat Robinson: make him throw and throw and throw. Keep him from recording the big run play and he'll beat himself through the air.

Robinson is still very dynamic, but he's throwing the ball like a first-year starter today. The decision making just isn't where it needs to be.

Michigan State once again converted a Robinson turnover into points, and the Spartans lead 34-17 with 7:14 left.
