Typical start for Hokies -- slow
By Heather Dinich
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Virginia Tech has trailed in four games this year and won three of them. They're on a similar path today. For the most part, Virginia Tech's offensive line has been fending off the Tar Heels and giving Tyrod Taylor plenty of time to throw. But on a drive that went as far as UNC's 22-yard line, the Hokies went backwards with an eight-yard sack, a 10-yard holding penalty and a blatant drop by Jarrett Boykin around the five yard line. Fortunately for Virginia Tech, kicker Chris Hazley has a strong, accurate leg and was able to make a 52-yard field goal. Hokies trail 7-3.
