Battle of quarterbacks in Death Valley

By Heather Dinich

CLEMSON, S.C. -- If there were any doubts about Florida State backup quarterback Clint Trickett putting the Seminoles in position to win, they should be alleviated by now. Trickett has matched Tajh Boyd in the passing game and has shown in the first half that he can move the ball and manage the offense. Boyd has completed 8 of 10 passes and Trickett has completed 7 of 11 passes. Boyd has 156 yards and two touchdowns. Trickett has 116 yards and a touchdown.

Literally -- as I was just typing that neither had a turnover, Trickett was picked off. So far, there's your difference.
