Halftime: Navy 14, Rutgers 7
By Andrea Adelson
Navy leads Rutgers 14-7 at halftime, in large part because of Rutgers' mistakes.
Gary Nova threw an interception that was returned by Chris Ferguson 16 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Earlier in the game, Ferguson had another huge play. On third-and-goal from the 1, he forced Savon Huggins to fumble. Navy recovered to end the scoring threat.
Rutgers has done such a good job all season with turnover margin, ranking at the top of the country. But so far in the game, Rutgers is at minus-1. The Scarlet Knights are doing better on the ground, running for 97 first-half yards already. Navy has 139 out of its vaunted triple-option.
