Final: Miami 30, UNC 24
By Heather Dinich
It was too little, too late for North Carolina, which dropped to 1-2 in the ACC race, with both losses coming to Coastal Division opponents.
Miami, meanwhile, has a new found relentlessness and earned its first ACC win because of it. It was a quiet game for running back Lamar Miller, but the Canes won without him thanks to an impressive game by Jacory Harris. Miami set the tone in the first half and never let down. Miami was outgained in first downs, total yards, rushing yards, and third-down efficiency, but the Canes won the turnover battle and the defense made the stops when it needed to most.
It was a much-needed win for the Hurricanes, and with Georgia Tech currently down 14-0 to Virginia in the first quarter, this ACC race is still open.
