Big 12 helmet stickers: Week 8
By David Ubben
Time to hand out some stickers for the best efforts of the day:
Seth Doege, QB, Texas Tech: Down go the Sooners, courtesy of Doege. The Red Raiders quarterback led his team to the biggest upset in the Big 12 this year, knocking off Oklahoma 41-38 in Norman with a precision performance against the Big 12's leader in total defense. The Sooners' 39-game home winning streak and national title hopes came crashing down as Doege went 33 of 52, for 441 yards, and four touchdowns.
Collin Klein, QB, Kansas State: Klein keeps on chugging along and keeps on taking hits. He set new career highs for rushing touchdowns (4) and passing yards (195) in Kansas State's 59-21 win over rival Kansas. Klein threw for a touchdown and rushed for 92 yards on 13 carries.
Joseph Randle, RB, Oklahoma State: Randle did it all for a good-looking Oklahoma State offense in today's 45-24 win over Missouri. He rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries and caught a 13-yard touchdown pass.
Tyler Lockett, KR, Kansas State: Lockett housed a 100-yard kickoff return last week in a win over Texas Tech, and did it again on Saturday in Kansas State's 59-21 win over Kansas. Lockett took the opening kick of the second half 97 yards for a touchdown to put the Wildcats up by 24.
Texas A&M's running game: Can't give this to any individual. The offensive line was outstanding. Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael were amazing, combining for 267 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 33-17 win over Iowa State.
