Bowl having fun with social media

If you're like me, you probably came across a number of hilarious tweets from the Champs Sports Bowl account this past week and thought to yourself, No way could suits from a bowl have that sense of humor. This must be a fake account.
As our friend Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast my friend!"
I decided to call the Florida Citrus Sports office to see for myself, and I was surprised to learn that @ChampsSportsBwl is, in fact, a real Twitter account.
Matt Repchak, assistant director of communications and marketing/digital media for Florida Citrus Sports, has been the man behind the handle, spewing out everything from Seinfeld references to jokes about Notre Dame's most recent helmets.
He has even made fun of Louisville coach Charlie Strong, who this week said the Cardinals' loss to Pitt was due in large part to his team playing too much "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" in the days leading up to the game.
"Ok, so no Call of Duty in the Big East player hospitality suites. Got it." the account posted Monday.
The account was actually created April 21, 2009, but has taken on the comedic tone this month.
Repchak said putting more personality into the account helps engage with fans and their interests. After all, he said, bowl games are pretty straight forward.
He added that almost all of the feedback thus far has been positive.
I know it's not Friday yet, but this account is definitely a recommended follow.
