Welcome to SEC media days, Day 2
By Chris Low
HOOVER, Ala. -- As we look ahead to Day 2 of the SEC media days, it's worth noting that we're officially in the new world of the 14-team SEC.
Missouri and Texas A&M made appearances on Day 1, and it's obvious that both teams are dead set on making a big splash in 2012.
On Wednesday, the festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. ET, and six teams are on the docket -- Florida, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Auburn and LSU.
A few of the things to watch Wednesday:
- Florida coach Will Muschamp makes his second appearance at the SEC media days, and one of the first questions he's certain to field is who will be his quarterback this fall. Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel have been battling it out since the spring.
- Arkansas running back Knile Davis is back for a second year in a row, although he missed all of last season with a fractured ankle. He's a prime candidate for comeback player of the year honors in the SEC.
- Several of the league's top quarterbacks aren't attending the SEC media days, including Alabama's AJ McCarron, Georgia's Aaron Murray and Missouri's James Franklin. Arkansas' Tyler Wilson, coming off an impressive showing at the Manning Passing Academy, will be on hand Wednesday.
- Closing out the day on the podium will be LSU's Les Miles, who's been known to send a few reporters scurrying for their dictionaries ... or wondering what in the heck he just said.
