Alabama lands another top prospect
By Chris Low
Derrick Henry, one of the top running back prospects in the country, announced Friday that he planned to sign with Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 242-pound Henry set the Florida state high school rushing record last week with 502 yards and also scored six touchdowns. He's the ninth ESPN 150 prospect to commit in the 2013 class to the Crimson Tide, who now have 21 commitments.
Henry, who's from Yulee, Fla., picked Alabama over Tennessee.
Alabama fans can watch Henry play Friday night at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU when Henry's high school team goes up against Florida commitment Kelvin Taylor's team.
