Key recruiting visits -- ACC

By Jared Shanker

With only two weekends left until signing day, coaches are hitting the road hard during the week in hopes of convincing waffling prospects to come to their campus.

Here are the biggest visits in the ACC this weekend.

1. DE Lorenzo Carter (Norcross, Ga./Norcross)
Visiting: Florida State

It could be a long shot at this point, but it doesn't hurt to get the five-star lineman on campus this close to signing day. A good visit could push FSU toward the front.

Malachi Dupre
National champion Florida State looks to be the only team that could pull No. 1 wide receiver Malachi Dupre away from the SEC.
2. WR Malachi Dupre (River Ridge, La./John Curtis)
Visiting: Florida State

The No. 1 receiver in the nation looks to be headed to SEC country, but if any team can pull him from Alabama or LSU it is Florida State. The Seminoles hope to land Dupre and second-ranked receiver Ermon Lane.

3. DE Chad Thomas (Miami/Booker T. Washington)
Visiting: Florida State

Thomas has set up official visits on several occasions but always canceled them. With Miami struggling a bit to hold on to its class, Thomas is again looking at visits to FSU and Alabama.

4. ATH Ja'Von Harrison (Lakeland, Fla./Kathleen)
Visiting: Virginia Tech

The Hokies' top high school commit has been committed for 18 months, but took a late visit to FSU last weekend. He is back in Blacksburg this weekend, then plans to make a final decision on signing day.

5. ATH Myles Autry (Norcross, Ga./Norcross)
Visiting: Florida State

It is a little hard to determine just where Autry lies on FSU's board at receiver, but the Noles could push Autry close to the top of it if it impacts his teammate Carter.

6. DT Derrick Nnadi (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes)
Visiting: Virginia Tech

Nnadi is taking all five of his visits, but Virginia Tech has been the leader for quite some time. Frank Beamer hopes to wrap up Nnadi this weekend and have him cancel his Virginia trip before signing day.

7. OT Quincy McKinney (Columbus, Ga./Hutchinson CC)
Visiting: NC State

The ESPN JC 50 recruit could play right away at NC State, and the Wolfpack are looking to close strong. They already have flipped two four-star commits in the last week.

8. OG Jared Cohen (Owing Mills, Md./McDonough)
Visiting: North Carolina

Once a Maryland commit, the nation's 33rd-ranked guard is going to North Carolina for a visit, and it looks as if the Tar Heels are the new favorite. UNC would find room for a talent like Cohen.

9. CB Daniel Ezeagwu (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge)
Visiting: Maryland

The fast-rising senior visited Virginia last weekend, and this decision should come down to the Terrapins and Cavaliers.
