Mauriece Lee (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos de Niza) has committed to Arizona, joining Zachary Green (Ventura, Calif./St. Bonaventure), giving the Wildcats a pair of early running back pledges for 2012, multiple sources report.
Lee, who rushed for 722 yards and 12 touchdowns while also catching 23 passes for 405 yards last fall, likes coach Rich Rodriguez' spread attack, “It’s the kind of offense where the running back can both catch the ball and run. I thought that was a good fit for me,” he told the Arizona Daily Star.
West Virginia, Boise State and Arizona State also recruited the 5-foot-7, 180-pound junior.
Arizona has three players committed for 2013.
